How Li-FT Saline Works
Li-FT is a hypertonic saline solution that is tattooed into the unwanted pigment using standard PMU techniques. By creating a higher salt concentration than the skin, osmosis pulls pigment particles upward toward the surface where the body's healing processes remove them. Lemon and orange seed extracts add gentle exfoliation while aloe and calendula support skin integrity during healing.
The technician applies Li-FT with conventional tattoo tools; it is an all-natural formula containing no harsh acids or chemical fading agents. Emergency Removal within 48 hours of a fresh PMU is the most effective timing because the pigment has not finished healing. Some tattoos require additional sessions depending on saturation; results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
What To Expect During Session
Appointments are scheduled for 90 MINUTES; the posted single-session price is $200. That fee covers one Li-FT treatment and professional assessment during the visit. For some clients one session delivers the desired lightening; for others, especially heavily saturated or older tattoos, multiple sessions spaced over healing periods may be necessary.
Expect immediate redness, light swelling, and scab formation as the skin begins to eject pigment; these are normal parts of the osmosis and healing process. Plan appointments during cooler, low-sun months when possible—our busiest months are January, February, and October—to reduce sun exposure during healing and simplify aftercare in Annandale's humid summers or variable spring weather.
Lightening Versus Full Removal
Li-FT is described and used as a lightening technique rather than surgical extraction; the goal is to move pigment toward the skin surface so the body can remove it naturally. This approach is often chosen to soften old PMU before redesigning brows or to correct uneven shading without more invasive procedures.
Your technician is trained and certified in pigment lightening and will assess saturation, ink age, and skin response to recommend a plan. Because travel and family schedules are common here, we schedule with commuter-friendly times; many clients pair the visit with errands near Braddock Road or Little River Turnpike to make appointments practical.
